Dr. Chango is a researcher and a consultant in Internet governance and digital policy as well as in digital identity. He is particularly interested in assisting African governments develop sound strategies for their digital transformation, setting up the bases for a truly digital and innovative economy with enabling, evidence-based and inclusive policies. He has more than 20 years of experience in ICT & related societal impact, consulting with a variety of organizations around the world. Founder of DIGILEXIS Consulting, he has been an active participant in global spaces of Internet governance policy discussions such as ICANN and the UN's Internet Governance Forum as well as in related African processes. Mawaki speaks English, French and Portuguese; he earned his PhD in Information Science and Technology at Syracuse University (Syracuse, New York).
